Whistler Week already over !

Folks, It's done. Great week, lots of snow in the last few days, Mountain conditions different from what I am used to back home but still great skiing. Demanding week, tired and beat. Looking forward to getting back home and get my 50 day target !!! With whistler week i'm at Day 8 for this season (grin)

Folks, this is it. Whistler week, finally. Speechless..... Let me show you a video I have been watching at least 3 times a week since August :) just to put you in the mood.

Minus 4 days until I leave for whistler !

Day 3 Tremblant Dec 01 2007

Excellent day, fresh groomed powder with a new overnight 10 cm of fresh snow. Mountain openned a 8:30 with 31 slopes (well 25 if you exclude the inter-connectors). Skiing fresh powder early this season is a rare event !!

Awesome day, visibility on mountain was less than 10 feet (for the first 500 feet) on top but mid-mountain we hade blue sunny sky. There was this odd (donut) cloud that kept hanging on top until noon but after it was clear blue skies.

however - 18 (-22 with windshear) !! can't be all perfect :)

Preping Day 3 and 4 !

Hey Gang,

AWSOME season kick off, snow galore !! Snowfall higher than usual (well in last 5 years) so I am heading to Tremblant for 2 days, got the T-pack deal, 2x tickets for 69$ + tax (comes out to 41$ per day tax in) very good deal.

22 slopes open this morning, and 5 new CM last night.

Day 2 2007-2008 Season

Hey , we got some more snow !! and I managed to go to Bromont, 1 slope, hard pack, 100% man made. Need for speed skiing !! hehe

Day 2, was a success, did 7 runs before all the slope was destroyed. Looking forward to Day 3-4 this weekend, heading to Tremblant, they got 16 slopes open. I will try to stay overnight motel or something.

Day 1 2007-2008 Season

Enfin ! drove up this morning. Got there 1 hour in advance just to make sure :)

Hard pack snow (man made 100%) very fast, golf balls everywhere, alot of vibrations. Managed to do 7 runs before the rutts were annoying. Also the slope was 40 feet wide ....but not complaining, been doing season opener for 25 years now, always cool.

Whistler Booked ! done deal

Hey folks,

I managed to grab a great deal for Whistler ! 7 nights and 6 days of skiing !! and staying at the Holiday inn Sunspree in the Village. I'm leaving on Dec 7th early morning flight from Montreal.

PS: Movie wasawsome, it rocked !! again, great skiing with beer and the girls ! hehe

Back from IF3 !

Hey folks, great weekend lots of skiing movies to put you in the mood. The IF3 festival was great (even if i'm older than the avg crowd hehe). I saw a total of 10 movies, free beer, free food, free DVD's ! and even Glen Plake himself in person (now I do feel old) hehe ...No offense Glen, was great meeting you ! oh and nice chix as well..as usual, Les Quebecoise sont les plus belles :)

Ski pass 2007-2008 Bromont

Well this year it's the Bromont ski pass ! but I wont take the night pass only, going for all day. I noticed last year that most of the time I was able to go skiing early insteadof late at night. Also the -30 celsius was a determinign factor while skiing at night !

for about 375$....I need to ski 9 times then I ski for free the rest of the season !

Hi folks, I managed to get a all inclusive pass for the Ski Film festival, 2 days, 15 films to watch. Alot of peeps going, pros and ski companies.

Vacation week booked !

I finally got to move my vacation week to the 2nd week of Dec 2007. I have been planning this for months and now it's starting to shape up.

Heading to Whistler !! season opens on Nov 21st so I can be sure to get some snow and rack in 6 days of skiing !! probably will have the chance to ski 2 or even 3 times in Temblant if i'm lucky end of november ....So !! before Xmas i'm looking at 10 days of Skiing !! WOOT !

Going for the 50 day this winter !
